We recently dismantled a large waste processing plant which included a fire detection camera system originally installed by Adie Mason. Given their in-depth knowledge of the system, we brought them back in to safely and professionally manage the decommissioning process.

Their team handled the dismantling securely and methodically, ensuring all components were carefully boxed and delivered to our customer for reinstallation at their new location. What really stood out was their professionalism on site — signing in and out correctly, strictly adhering to site rules, and maintaining the highest safety standards throughout.

Fire Detection Camera System Project

We contacted SMS Projects Limited to assist with the installation of a Harris Gorilla baler at one of our new customers site in Bedford.

The project involved removing an existing, much older Harris baler before installing the new machine. As is often the case with older equipment, dismantling presented some challenges — with tight nuts, bolts, and components requiring careful and methodical removal. However, through a strong team effort, the old baler was fully dismantled and loaded out within just one and a half days.

Installation of the new baler then progressed efficiently, with the machine in position and ready for commissioning within the following three days. Despite a couple of challenges relating to the electrical supply, the team worked proactively to resolve issues quickly, ensuring we were up and running in a very short period of time.

I was particularly impressed with their can-do attitude and their ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers involved in the project. Their professionalism, teamwork, and focus on delivering results made a real difference to the success and speed of the installation.

We were delighted with how smoothly the project progressed and would gladly work with them again in the future.
